Aligarh is no ordinary city. Home to Aligarh Muslim University, one of India's most storied centres of learning, it has long been a place of culture, poetry and refinement — where women have walked the corridors of academia dressed in silhouettes that state identity as clearly as intellect.
Hers Cottons was founded in that spirit in 1980 by Munir Iqbal Siddiqui, who understood that what a woman wears carries more than fabric. It carries her roots, her bearing, and her story. He set out to build a place where the women of Aligarh could find ethnic wear that honoured tradition while meeting the demands of an educated, confident, modern life.
From fine cotton suit pieces to ajrakh and kalamkari that carry the mark of the hand that made them, every piece is chosen with the same intent: to celebrate who we are and where we come from.
